Onebeacon Scholarship Program

Here’s another great scholarship for high school seniors graduating in 2012 who want to enroll in a criminal justice degree program. OneBeacon Insurance Group’s Charitable Trust group has established a scholarship program for students who want to study full-time at an accredited institution. The scholarship amount is $1500, and there will be 20 scholarships awarded; 10 for the children of employees of the company and 10 for the children of individuals who are employed by independent agencies, brokers, or wholesalers. These scholarships are for one year only and are not renewable.

To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must be a high school senior who plans to enroll full-time in an undergraduate program for the entire academic year. The applicant must be either (a) Children of full-time OneBeacon employees who have a minimum of six months of employment with the company as of the application deadline date and are still employed on August 1, or (b) High school seniors who are children of individuals employed by independent agencies, brokers or wholesalers that have represented OneBeacon Insurance for a minimum of one year and have a minimum of three years of continuous service with the agency, broker or wholesaler as of the application deadline date and are still employed on August 1.
