Various Scholarships For Criminal Justice

Hello, here is some information on a few local and regional scholarships. One is a criminal justice scholarship and the others can be used by students who are seeking a criminal justice degree.

Thomas A. Beilein Scholarships – This criminal justice scholarship is available to high school seniors in Niagara County in New York. The students must be seeking a career in criminal justice/law enforcement, attend a 2 or 4-year accredited college/university in the state of New York. There were 3 $1000 scholarships awarded this past year. The deadline will be around March 2012. Go to this site for more details: http://www.niagarasheriff.com/scholarship.aspx.

2011 National Rice Month Scholarship Program – This scholarship is awarded by USA Rice. They are offering 3 scholarships: 1st place is $4000, 2nd place is $3000, and 3rd place is $1500. These are scholarships are available to high school seniors from Arkansas, California, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Texas. The deadline for the scholarship is October 14, 2011. Samsung American Legion Scholarship – The American Legions awards this scholarship due to a $5M grant from worldwide electronics leader Samsung. The scholarship is for highs school juniors who complete a Boys State or Girls State program and are descendants of war veterans. Contact your local American Legion chapter or the Boys State and Girls State program office. Anheuser-Busch’s Brewery Conference of Teamsters Merit Scholarship Program – This scholarship is for children of employees of Anheuser-Busch. There can be up to 48 $1000 scholarships awarded each year. The program tries to select 4 students from each of the 12 breweries around the country. Children of employees should ask their parents to search in the company’s intranet for more information.
