Ronald Mcdonald House Charities Scholarships

Here is information about another scholarship opportunity for students seeking criminal justice degrees. The Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) offers 4 different scholarships to high school seniors. RMHC “creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children.” Most of these programs are provided within the communities of the children. Education costs are continuing to increase which results in a college education being beyond the financial reach of many outstanding students; therefore, RMHC has partnered with its local Chapters to offer scholarships to graduating high school seniors who need extra financial assistance. The RMHC scholarship program seeks students who are outstanding role models in their communities and desire to fulfill their educational goals.

To be eligible for the scholarship applicants must be high school seniors, be a US citizen, be younger than 21 years old, live in a RMHC chapter area, be accepted into a 2 or 4 year educational institution, and completely fill out the scholarship application.

Most scholarships are around $1000 but can vary from chapter to chapter. The due date to apply for the scholarship is January 27, 2012. Applicants will be notified of their status around May – June 2012. Students can get more information and the application for the scholarship from the following sites:
