Ritchie Jennings Memorial Scholarship

Here is information on another great criminal justice scholarship for criminal justice degree students. The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) has established a scholarship for students seeking degrees in accounting, finance, business, and criminal justice to help pay for their education. The Ritchie Jennings Memorial Scholarship is in honor of two ACFE members, Larry Jennings and Tracy Ritchie (both from Houston, TX). ACFE will award 30 scholarships in varying amounts: one $10,000 scholarship, two $5,000 scholarships, four $2,500 scholarships, and twenty-three $1,000 scholarships.

This scholarship is open to both national and international undergraduate students, and must be enrolled full-time during the upcoming school year. Past winners, high school seniors, and graduate students are not eligible to for the scholarship. A fully completed application, copy of the student’s college/university transcript(s), and 3 letters of recommendation must all be sent to the ACFE Foundation. One of the letters of recommendation must be from a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or a local ACFE Chapter. The other 2 letters can be from professors, academic advisors, or employers.

The deadline for the 2011-2012 scholarship has passed; however, the applications for the 2012-2013 academic year will open in Fall 2011. General information about the scholarship can be found at: http://www.acfe.com/Membership/students.asp?copy=scholarship.
