Fallen Female Officers Scholarship

Here is information on a scholarship for students who want to pursue a criminal justice degree, or a degree that is within the criminal justice realm (paralegal, law enforcement, law, etc.) The National Association of Women in Criminal Justice (NAWCJ) established the Fallen Female Officers Scholarship in honor or women who have lost their lives in the line of duty. The scholarship is meant to be a reminder of the legacy of women who have shown excellence in law enforcement.

The scholarship award is $1000 for the school year. Incoming first-time freshmen must have a minimum high school GPA of 2.5. Official transcripts should be sent to directly to the NAWJC. The transcript must have an official seal on it, the envelope must be sealed, and a signature across the seal.

The applicant must fill out the official scholarship application. Two letters of recommendation are required; one of the letters must be from a teacher. Applicants are also required to write a 500 word essay stating career goals, interests and reasons why the applicant should receive the scholarship.
